 Our Services
Below is a summary of the weekly meetings that take place at Judson. For a schedule of upcoming services and events, see our church calendar.
Sunday Morning
The Sunday morning worship service is—and has been since biblical times—the main gathering of the church. Our Sunday mornings begin with Sunday school for all ages at 9:30 AM (except during summer break), continue with a coffee/cookie fellowship time in our library at 10:30, and culminate with a worship service at 11:00. Our worship service includes singing (traditional music with some newer elements), reading of God's Word, children's message, corporate prayer, and preaching. Most weeks, the children leave part way through the service for children’s worship. On the first Sunday of each month, we also observe Holy Communion.
Wednesday Night
On Wednesday nights, a smaller group—including youth and adults—gathers together at 5:50 PM for fellowship and cookies. We then have a time of praise and worship together, before the youth group goes to their meeting and the Adult Bible Class to theirs. The Adult Bible Class has studied books of the Bible and various topics of interest. At 7:15, the choir rehearses. Wednesday evening activities break for the summer.
Other Services
On certain holy days (e.g. Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday), we have special worship services. These often involve gathering together with Christians of other traditions and denominations. In addition, throughout the year, we have a number of dinners, service opportunities, concerts, and other events. For upcoming items, see our church calendar. For information about our educational ministries, see the “Other Ministries” page.
